Minnie Van Disney World vs a Group Van: Cost, Seats and Who Can Book
On this page
Short answer
A Minnie Van seats up to 6 guests and has 2 car seats. The Minnie Van Disney World airport service costs about $249 each way in 2026 and is open only to Deluxe, Deluxe Villa and Club Level guests. Groups of 7 to 14 need two or three Minnie Vans ($498 to $747); one JOB Ford Transit carries everyone for $159.
We're a family-run Orlando company with 12- and 14-passenger vans, so we have an interest in this question. That's why every Disney fact below comes from Disney's own pages or a named source, and why we say plainly when the Minnie Van is the better pick.
Minnie Van Disney World service at a glance
The Disney Minnie Van service is a ride service themed after Minnie Mouse, driven by Disney Cast Members and "connected by Lyft." It comes in two versions: on-demand rides between select locations on Walt Disney World property, and a pre-booked airport service between Orlando International Airport (MCO) and qualifying resorts.

How many people fit in a Minnie Van?
A standard Minnie Van fits up to 6 passengers, children included. The Accessible Minnie Van seats 5 people plus 2 mobility devices, with a maximum of 7 guests.
Each vehicle carries 2 child safety seats that Cast Members can install, and a child in one still takes one of the 6 places. Disney's Minnie Van page doesn't list a luggage limit, so a party of 6 with large suitcases and a stroller should ask when booking.
How much does a Disney Minnie Van cost?
The airport Minnie Van costs about $249 per vehicle each way in 2026. In-resort rides are priced by distance and demand, and can reach about $60 on the longest routes.
Minnie Van Disney airport cost (MCO to Disney)
Expect about $249 each way, or about $498 round trip, for one vehicle of up to 6. Confirm the current fare with Disney when you book; the figures below come from published reports.
- August 2025: $199 plus tax one way, when Disney opened the service to all Deluxe Resort guests (Disney Tourist Blog).
- 2026: $249 each way, per The Genie Orlando's 2026 cost guide and a July 2026 reader comment on Disney Tourist Blog that says the price now includes a $20 gratuity.
In-resort Minnie Van cost
In-resort rides use dynamic pricing based on distance and demand. Disney Tourist Blog found them often more than 3 times the price of a base Lyft and about double a Lyft XL, with fares as high as $60 on the longest routes when Uber or Lyft cost about $15 to $17. The Lyft app shows the fare before you confirm.
How do you book a Disney Lyft Minnie Van?
In-resort rides are booked in the Lyft app; airport rides are booked with Disney, not in the app. For a ride around Walt Disney World, open the Lyft app at a participating location, enter your destination, then scroll the vehicle options until "Minnie Van" appears.
For the airport service, call Disney between 60 days and 2 days before your trip. For the return ride to MCO, your resort's concierge can usually help.

Minnie Van vs a group van: cost per person by group size
Once your group passes 6, you need a second Minnie Van, and a third at 13. One Ford Transit carries 12 or 14 people for one flat price per vehicle. The table uses $249 per Minnie Van, one way from MCO.
| Riders | JOB vehicle | JOB price | JOB per person | Minnie Vans needed | Minnie Van total | Minnie Van per person |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 4 | Minivan | $99 | $24.75 | 1 | $249 | $62.25 |
| 6 | Minivan | $99 | $16.50 | 1 | $249 | $41.50 |
| 8 | 12-passenger van | $159 | $19.88 | 2 | $498 | $62.25 |
| 10 | 12-passenger van | $159 | $15.90 | 2 | $498 | $49.80 |
| 12 | 12-passenger van | $159 | $13.25 | 2 | $498 | $41.50 |
| 14 | 14-passenger van | $179 | $12.79 | 3 | $747 | $53.36 |
At the 2025 rate of $199 plus tax, two Minnie Vans were $398 and three were $597, before tax. JOB's prices are one way, per vehicle, with tolls and airport fees included; gratuity is optional.
Round trip, a group of 12 would pay about $996 for four Minnie Van fares. Two one-way rides in a JOB 12-passenger van come to $318, and round trips save a step.
How do other options compare for 14 people?
Only a 14-passenger van keeps a group of 14 in one vehicle. Every other option splits you across three cars or puts you on a shared ride with other travelers.
| Option for 14 riders | Vehicles | One-way cost | Per person |
|---|---|---|---|
| JOB 14-passenger Ford Transit | 1 | $179 | $12.79 |
| Minnie Van airport service | 3 | About $747 | About $53.36 |
| UberXL (estimate, before surge) | 3 | $165 to $300+ | $11.79 to $21.43+ |
| Mears Connect Standard (14 adults) | Shared coach or van | About $261 | About $18.66 |
UberXL seats up to 6 and runs an estimated $55 to $100+ per car, or $120 to $180+ at surge. That means three cars, three drivers and three arrival times. Mears Connect Standard is $17.60 per adult plus a 6% fuel surcharge, and its shared ride to Disney hotels "typically takes 30-60 minutes" with stops. See our Mears Connect guide and how much luggage fits in an UberXL.

When is the Minnie Van the better choice?
The Minnie Van is the better pick for parties of 6 or fewer at a Deluxe resort, for quick hops around Disney property, and for riders who need to stay in a wheelchair or scooter:
- You're staying at a Deluxe resort, with 6 or fewer people, and you want the Disney-themed ride with a Cast Member at the wheel.
- You need to get around Disney property on demand. In-resort Minnie Vans drop you at Magic Kingdom itself, while other rideshares stop at the Transportation and Ticket Center.
- Someone needs to stay in a wheelchair or scooter during the ride. The Accessible Minnie Van has space for 2 mobility devices, and guests may stay in them for the whole ride.

When is a group van the better choice?
A group van is the better choice once you have 7 or more people, stay outside a Deluxe resort, or need more than 2 car seats:
- Your group is 7 to 14 people. One vehicle, one price, and everyone arrives together. See our private group shuttle in 12- and 14-passenger vans.
- You're staying at a Value or Moderate resort, a Disney Springs-area hotel or a vacation home. The airport Minnie Van isn't open to you.
- You need more than 2 car seats in one vehicle. We follow NHTSA car seat guidance as our own safety standard; see our Orlando car service with car seats.
- You want to stop for groceries before you reach the resort.
- You fly into Sanford (SFB), or your flight lands outside the airport Minnie Van's 7 AM to 10 PM arrival window.
- Your trip continues to Universal, Port Canaveral or Kennedy Space Center. Minnie Vans don't leave Disney property.
- You'd like a Spanish-speaking driver.
