How far is Kennedy Space Center from Orlando, Disney and the port?

About 50 miles from Orlando, 63 to 67 miles from the Walt Disney World resorts, and 15 miles from the Port Canaveral cruise terminals. The Visitor Complex says no public transportation is available.

No-traffic routing estimates checked in October 2026; traffic, launch crowds and weather add time, so we build in a cushion.

How a Kennedy Space Center day trip from Orlando works

We pick you up at your hotel, resort or vacation home, drop you at the visitor complex and bring you back at the time you choose.

  1. 1

Pick a return time. KSC listed hours of 9 AM to 5 PM in October 2026, but hours change by season, so check before you book.

  2. 2

Leave early: from the Disney resorts a 7:15 to 7:30 AM pickup reaches the gates around opening; from I-Drive or MCO-area hotels, about 7:45 AM.

  3. 3

Buy admission directly from KSC beforehand. Bags may be inspected, and luggage and other large bags are not allowed.

  4. 4

Ride home on your schedule. For extra stops in Cocoa Beach or Titusville, book an hourly private driver.

Transportation to Kennedy Space Center from Walt Disney World

We pick up at any Walt Disney World resort, Disney Springs-area hotels and Kissimmee and Celebration vacation homes. The drive is about 63 to 67 miles each way, so a full opening-to-closing KSC day from Disney runs about 10 to 11 hours door to door.

Children ride in the car seats and boosters you request: we carry seats and boosters for each child's age and size, and they are priced when you book. On the way back we can stop for groceries or snacks (arranged when you book).

Port Canaveral to Kennedy Space Center to MCO: the post-cruise day

If your flight leaves at 5:00 PM or later, you can spend a full debarkation day at Kennedy Space Center instead of waiting at the airport. We meet you at the cruise terminal, drive about 15 miles to KSC, keep your bags with us, then take you to MCO. This is our Port Canaveral baggage hold.

KSC to MCO is about 50 miles, 45 to 60 minutes, and GOAA recommends reaching MCO security 2 hours before departure, so plan to leave KSC about 3 to 3.5 hours before your flight. The Port requires fares to be pre-arranged and pre-paid, so book before you sail. If debarkation runs late, your driver waits for you.

Rocket launch day charters to Titusville and KSC

A private charter is the easy way to see a launch as a group, and Gray Line does not run its transportation-only trip on special launch dates. We drive your group to a viewing spot and wait through the countdown on an hourly charter, from $89 an hour in an SUV or $109 an hour in the 14-passenger van.

KSC warns that launch dates and times are always subject to change with little notice, so check the Space Coast launch schedule before you book. Tell us as soon as a launch moves and we will work out your ride with you.
