Sailing from Port Canaveral? The two-leg Cocoa Beach plan

Fly into MCO the day before your cruise, ride to a Cocoa Beach hotel, and on sailing morning you are 10 to 20 minutes from the ship. The cruise lines set tight same-day cut-offs: Disney Cruise Line lists 11:30 AM as the latest MCO arrival on embarkation day, and Carnival's transfers need you landed by 12:00 PM. A beach night turns that risk into a holiday day.

For a group of 14, the full package comes to $23.50 per person for both rides; for six people in an SUV, $39.83 each. On sailing morning we drop you at your terminal: terminals are assigned by ship, so tell us your ship and we confirm the right one. The Port requires commercial fares to be pre-arranged and pre-paid. Some beachside hotels run their own cruise shuttle; for a couple that seat may cost less, and we are glad to handle just the airport leg.

Shared shuttle, taxi or private van: what does it cost per person?

For couples and small families, a shared seat ($25 to $30 per person) is usually the cheapest way from MCO to Cocoa Beach. One flat-priced private vehicle costs no more per person than a $30 shared seat at 6 riders and from 8 up, and it leaves when you land and goes straight to your hotel.

Shared fares checked October 3, 2026: Cruise Control $25 per person (private $185 to $318 by group size), Cocoa Beach Express from $28 per person, and Orlando Express Shuttle $30 per person. Cocoa Beach Express is the Port's official ground transportation concessionaire. A taxi to Port Canaveral runs about $115 on MCO's own fare guide, and an UberXL to the port about $95 to $120 per car, seating up to 6.
