We have just returned and used Pedro and his family, excellent service and so nice. Will definitely use him again and continue to recommend.
Port Canaveral Luggage Storage & Post-Cruise Rides: Kennedy Space Center, Cocoa Beach, Then MCO
Port Canaveral has no luggage storage in its cruise terminals, and Kennedy Space Center bans luggage. JOB Transportation of Florida meets you at your terminal, keeps your bags while you visit Kennedy Space Center or Cocoa Beach, then drives you to Orlando International Airport (MCO). Packages start at $249 per 6-seat SUV, and a full 14-passenger van works out to $27.07 each.

How our Port Canaveral luggage storage works
Three steps, and you never carry a suitcase past the terminal curb.
- 1
We meet you at your cruise terminal, in the Port's designated meet area (curbside at Terminal 8). Most ships dock between 6:00 and 7:00 AM.
- 2
We load everything and your suitcases stay with us. You walk in with a small day bag.
- 3
After your last stop we drop you at your airline's curb: Level 3 for Terminals A and B, Level 2 for Terminal C.
Is there luggage storage at Port Canaveral?
No. There are no lockers or bag storage in the terminal buildings, so once you leave the ship your bags go wherever you go. Here is what cruisers usually try, and where each falls short.
- Storage apps in Cape Canaveral and Cocoa Beach hold bags for an hourly or daily fee, but you still need rides to the shop, to your attraction, back to the shop and on to MCO. One Cape Canaveral partner closes at 3:00 PM at weekends.
- Bringing bags to Kennedy Space Center is not allowed: the Visitor Complex prohibits luggage and other large bags, and no public transport goes there.
- Checking bags early only works a few hours before departure, and the storage desk inside MCO is at Terminal B, Level 1, 42 to 45 miles from the port.
- Renting a car works if someone wants to drive. Rental desks near the port are a five-minute shuttle away, and a big group may need two cars and two drivers.
Which post-cruise plan fits your flight time?
The later your flight, the more you can fit in. These planning estimates assume we leave the port around 8:30 to 9:00 AM, allow up to an hour for the last drive, and get you to MCO 2 hours before departure, as the airport recommends.
| Flight departs MCO | Leave your last stop by | Time for stops | Good fit |
|---|---|---|---|
| Before 1:00 PM | Go straight to MCO | None | A direct Port Canaveral to Orlando Airport ride |
| 1:00 to 3:00 PM | 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM | 1 to 3 hours | A meal at The Cove, Jetty Park beach, or the Cocoa Beach Pier |
| 3:00 to 5:00 PM | 12:00 to 2:00 PM | 3 to 5 hours | A shorter Kennedy Space Center visit (about 2 to 3 hours), or a longer Cocoa Beach stop |
| 5:00 PM or later | 2:00 PM or later | 5 hours or more | A full Kennedy Space Center day, with Cocoa Beach if time allows |
If your airline asks you to arrive earlier than 2 hours, move each row later by the difference. Disney Cruise Line's earliest recommended flight is 11:15 AM and Carnival's is 12:50 PM; MSC suggests at least five hours between the ship's arrival and your flight. More in our guide to the earliest flight after a Port Canaveral cruise.
What can you do while we hold your bags?
The four easiest stops are Kennedy Space Center, the Cocoa Beach Pier, Jetty Park with The Cove and, on the right day, a rocket launch. Pick one or combine a few when you book.
- Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex. Guests easily spend several hours here. Buy tickets ahead and check the hours for your date.
- Cocoa Beach Pier. 800 feet over the Atlantic with four bars and five restaurants, a good spot for a long lunch.
- Jetty Park and The Cove. Right by the Port, ideal for a short gap before a midday flight.
- A rocket launch. If one is scheduled on your debarkation day, ask us about timing.
| Leg | Distance | Typical drive |
|---|---|---|
| Port to Kennedy Space Center | About 15 miles | About 30 minutes |
| Port to The Cove and Jetty Park | By the Port | The Cove is walkable; Jetty Park is a short ride |
| Port to Cocoa Beach Pier | South of the port | A short drive |
| Kennedy Space Center to MCO | About 50 miles via SR 528 | About 45 to 60 minutes |
| Cocoa Beach to MCO | 51 miles | About 45 minutes |
| Port to MCO, no stops | 42 to 45 miles | About 45 to 60 minutes |
How much does the baggage hold cost?
One flat price per vehicle covers the terminal pickup, your stops and the MCO drop-off for up to several hours. Tolls are included and gratuity is optional. Kennedy Space Center admission is not included.
| Vehicle | Seats | Package | Extra hour | Per person when full |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Ford Expedition or Chevrolet Suburban SUV | Up to 6 | $249 | $45 | $41.50 |
| Ford Transit 12-passenger van | Up to 12 | $349 | $50 | $29.08 |
| Ford Transit 14-passenger van | Up to 14 | $379 | $50 | $27.07 |
Tell us your exact bag count. A week of cruise luggage plus souvenirs takes more space than people expect, so a 12-person group with heavy bags may be better off in the 14-passenger van. Car seats and boosters are priced when you book, following NHTSA guidance.
What does it cost per person?
| Your group | JOB vehicle | JOB per person | Shore Excursions Group, per person | Carnival excursion, admission included |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 4 (2 adults, 2 kids 12 and under) | SUV, $249 | $62.25 | $77.99 ($311.96 total) | $117.49 average ($469.96 total) |
| 6 adults | SUV, $249 | $41.50 | $77.99 ($467.94 total) | $119.99 ($719.94 total) |
| 10 adults | 12-passenger van, $349 | $34.90 | $77.99 ($779.90 total) | $119.99 ($1,199.90 total) |
| 14 adults | 14-passenger van, $379 | $27.07 | No 14-person rate shown ($76.99 each for 11) | $119.99 ($1,679.86 total) |
Carnival's price includes Kennedy Space Center admission, so add tickets to the JOB and Shore Excursions Group figures before comparing. For a couple sailing with Carnival, the cruise-line excursion can be the simpler choice. For families and groups of 4 to 14 who want their own timing, one JOB vehicle costs less per person than a per-person private transfer.

| Carnival KSC and MCO transfer excursion | $119.99 per adult, $114.99 per child, admission included | Stowed on the motorcoach | Fixed 6-hour tour, flights after 5:00 PM only | Yes, shared motorcoach |
| Shore Excursions Group private transfer | $77.99 to $233.99 per person, admission not included | Luggage accommodated | Fixed 3:00 PM MCO drop-off | Yes |
| Storage apps (Bounce, Qeepl, LuggageHero) | $6.95 a day (Bounce), $7.39 per item a day (Qeepl), or $1.99 an hour plus $2.49 a bag (LuggageHero), plus every ride | A partner shop | Shop hours | No; you book separate rides |
| Rental car | Rental, fuel and tolls | Your trunk | Yours | Yes, if someone drives and returns it |
Prices as published by Carnival, Shore Excursions Group, Bounce, Qeepl and LuggageHero, checked October 2026. Some local shuttle companies treat luggage as a paid add-on on their KSC trips; with JOB, holding the bags is the service itself.
Who keeps your bags, and how safe are they?
Your suitcases stay with us from the terminal curb to the MCO curb. Keep passports, medication, valuables and chargers in your day bag. Kennedy Space Center may inspect any bag, so pack light for the day.
We carry $1,000,000 in liability insurance, far above Florida's for-hire minimum of $125,000/$250,000/$50,000 (Fla. Stat. 324.032). Liability insurance is not the same as cover for what is inside your suitcase: ask us before you book if you carry valuables. This is general information, not legal advice.

Frequently asked questions
Late flight after your cruise?
Call, text or WhatsApp us with your ship, flight time, group size and the stops you want. We reply with a flat price.
Is there luggage storage at Port Canaveral cruise terminals?
No. The cruise terminals have no lockers or bag storage, so your luggage leaves the ship with you. Our baggage hold keeps your bags with us from the terminal curb until we drop you at Orlando International Airport (MCO).
Can I bring my luggage into Kennedy Space Center?
No. The Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex prohibits luggage and other large bags, and bags may be inspected at security. Leave your suitcases with us and carry only a small day bag.
Is there a shuttle from Port Canaveral to Kennedy Space Center?
Not a public one: Kennedy Space Center has no public transportation. You can book a cruise-line excursion, a local shuttle company's KSC trip, a private transfer such as our baggage hold, or a rideshare to the Visitor Complex, which still leaves you holding your bags.
How far is Port Canaveral from Kennedy Space Center?
About 15 miles, or roughly 30 minutes by road. From Kennedy Space Center to Orlando International Airport (MCO) is about 50 miles via SR 528, or about 45 to 60 minutes.
What time does my flight need to be to visit Kennedy Space Center after my cruise?
For a full visit, book a flight at 5:00 PM or later, the same cutoff Carnival uses for its Kennedy Space Center airport excursion. With a 3:00 to 5:00 PM flight you can fit a shorter visit of about 2 to 3 hours or a longer Cocoa Beach stop. With a 1:00 to 3:00 PM flight, stick to nearby stops such as The Cove, Jetty Park or the Cocoa Beach Pier. Before 1:00 PM, go straight to the airport.
How much does the Port Canaveral baggage hold cost?
Packages are $249 for an SUV (up to 6), $349 for a 12-passenger van and $379 for a 14-passenger van, for up to several hours. Extra hours start at $45. Kennedy Space Center tickets are not included.
Where are my bags while I'm at Kennedy Space Center?
Your suitcases stay with us for the whole day. Keep passports, medication and valuables with you.
Can you take us from Cocoa Beach to Orlando Airport?
Yes. Cocoa Beach can be the last stop on your baggage hold, and it is about 51 miles from MCO. If you are staying in Cocoa Beach rather than leaving a ship, MCO to Cocoa Beach starts at $159; call 407-837-5656 for a quote.
