Disney to Universal Transportation: Private SUV and Van Rides, Both Directions
Walt Disney World and Universal Orlando run no shuttle between them, so Disney to Universal means a rideshare ($25 to $50), taxi, rental car, $2 bus or private ride. The trip is about 9 to 17 miles, usually 15 to 45 minutes on I-4. JOB Transportation drives you door to door in a minivan, SUV or 12- or 14-passenger van, from $79 per vehicle.

Disney to Universal prices by vehicle
One way and per vehicle, not per person. Universal to Disney costs the same, and gratuity is optional.

Is there a shuttle from Disney to Universal?
No. Disney and Universal don't run a shuttle between their resorts. The big shuttle brands are airport services: Mears Connect runs from MCO to Disney, and Universal's SuperStar Shuttle from MCO to Universal. Two partial options exist.
Travel-agent add-ons
Universal sells, only through travel agents, park tickets with a shuttle from your Disney-area hotel (run by Mears, booked 24 hours ahead, no service from 10 AM to 3 PM), and a "Take Two" transfer from a Walt Disney World hotel to a Universal hotel and later to the airport, listed at $37 per person (The Mouse For Less, July 2025). Ask your agent whether both are still offered.
A $2 bus to Epic Universe
LYNX Link 311 runs between Disney, Orlando International Airport and Epic Universe for $2. It leaves from the Disney Springs Transfer Center, and LYNX reduced service to the Epic Universe bus loop in April 2026, so check the schedule first.

Disney to Universal Uber cost vs one van, for groups of 6 to 14
A group of 14 pays $135 for one JOB van, or $9.64 each. The same group needs three UberXLs, each with its own driver, arrival time and surge price.

The $25 to $50 range is Magic Guides' estimate for a standard Uber or Lyft; XL rides cost more (a 2024 MickeyVisit fare check showed UberX at $24.95 and UberXL at $34.03 from Pop Century to the Universal garage). On a quiet afternoon two rideshares can cost less than our van; families pick the van for car seats, luggage, or arriving together.
Universal to Disney World: the same ride in reverse
The same distance and the same flat price. We pick up at your Universal hotel, CityWalk or Epic Universe and drop you at a Disney resort, a Disney park or Disney Springs. There's no Universal to Disney shuttle either; if you drive, Disney charges $35 a day for standard theme park parking (included for Disney Resort hotel guests).
Disney resort to Epic Universe
Epic Universe opened May 22, 2025 on its own campus about 3 miles south-east of Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure, so tell us which park you're visiting. Rideshare drop-off is at 1201 Epic Blvd; Helios Grand has its own park entrance, and Stella Nova and Terra Luna are a short walk away. A 14-passenger van out and back is $270 before the round-trip saving.

Split stays: Disney resort to Universal with luggage
One vehicle carries your whole party and its luggage from your Disney resort lobby to your Universal hotel lobby, with a store stop on the way and car seats for the kids. Can you drive from Universal to Disney World yourself?
Yes, it is a straight drive on I-4. Budget for parking: Disney's standard theme park parking is $35 a day (included for Disney Resort hotel guests), and Universal self-parking is $35 a day at the toll plaza or $32 prepaid in the Universal app.
Do you provide car seats for Disney to Universal rides?
Yes. Tell us each child's age and weight when you book, and we bring the right seat: we carry seats and boosters for each child's age and size, and they are priced when you book.
Can we book a round trip for a Universal day?
Yes. Book the morning drop-off and evening pickup together to save a step. A 14-passenger van both ways is $270.
How far in advance should I book?
As soon as your park days are set, especially for a 12- or 14-passenger van. Our minimum notice is set by availability (call or WhatsApp to check a last-minute ride).
